SINGER 221 Featherweight Sewing Machine with case
AG814599 September 1946.
Smooth running and very quiet for a 221. It is the smoothest running 221 I have ever serviced.
Functionally cleaned (not restoration). Oiled with Sewing machine oil. Greased gears and motor with SewRetro grease. Cleaned and serviced upper tension. New take up spring. Lower tension set correctly. New belt. New feet on the machine. Added LED light bulb. Shellac to protect decals and paint from further loss. Replaced upper cover plate screw. New felt in the oil pan. Hook assembly cleaned. Extended run time tested. Bobbin case in place. Come with accessories as shown.
Case is in decent condition. Latches work. Handle duct taped. Please refer to photos for cosmetic condition.
Motor controller is as shown.
Light switch cover is cracked. Motor brush screw top is completely stripped off. Bed has gouges that have been somewhat filled and smoothed with shellac. Not French polished, but completely functional. Replacement foot controller.
