    Description

I am selling my 1986 Cutlass Supreme. This is a beautiful rare color, code 43 Light Sage with the same Light Sage interior. This was a special order car when new, it is a 307 car with A/C and no power options, but it has a power antenna, and it does actually still work! No power windows or seats, no rear defroster, so the rear glass is clean of any defroster lines, which makes the car look amazingly older than it really is.
Non smoker, no smells on the inside except for that nice old car smell.
I have owned the car for 2 years and put about 300 miles on it. In that time I have done some work to it, new battery, new tires, brakes are new, belts and tuneup. The motor is all stock with a tuned-up stock carb, new cat, and custom cat back made from 442/GN prototypes with Flowmaster 40s.
The car is rust free. There is very minor surface rust on the bottom of the doors but its barely visible.
The car has QA1 coilovers installed but don’t let that discourage you. The car rides perfect. In fact it rides a lot better than it would with the stock suspension and its not lowered and its not a harsh ride at all, the QA1s allow it to still have the “living room couch” ride but without all the sway and bounce that is a side effect from the living room couch ride. I have owned multiple G Bodies and this one drives very much the same as the stock ones only way better. All of what you want without the looseness. But its not a sports car either. Good blend of in-between. I also have the original springs that come with the car.
The car has an aftermarket aluminum radiator and obviously that’s a good thing.
The paint is NOT perfect. The pictures may look it, but it was in rough shape when I got the car and there is about 50 man hours in buffing this paint out to get it to this point but its not perfect, see the picture of the hood, there is definitely deterioration there but it does have a very nice satin sheen to it and has a very nice patina as a result. Its all original paint as far as I can tell. Chrome is excellent, grilles both move fine, everything that needs to be there is there, no trim is missing.
Interior is in excellent condition, the headliner has just 3 spots that are starting to sag down but they are barely coming down and are rather small. The rest of the headliner is perfect and still attached. Radio works and so does the antenna.
Original 14” Rallys in code 43 Light Sage with brand new 215/70 Mastercrafts.
Car does have some small dents and dings here and there, it is 36 Years old after all and was used as a regular car at some point. Best as I can tell the mileage on the odometer is original and has not rolled over, the car is too clean for that. I don’t know the original history but it must have been a southern car.
Check engine light is on, its for the throttle position sensor, common on these "electronic" carbs. It does not at all affect the way the car drives so I have not bothered to ever replace it.
Car is located in the near west suburbs of Chicago, can be seen in the evenings if you’re local. Please contact me with any questions. I can also provide any other pictures you may want. We all know how hard it is to find G Bodies that are stock or mostly stock and I personally have only ever seen a handful in Light Sage. The car is priced accordingly based on the condition, rarity and the market.
Thank you for looking and once again, contact me with any questions. I’m a mechanic and can answer any question you might have.
